Many recreational activities are located in the
Radville Laurier Regional Park - CLICK HERE for more information ARCHERY: There are ample areas for the archery-hunting enthusiast in and around Radville. Currently, there are free depredation tags for white tail deer that can be used in a ten-acre plot on the northern corner of Radville. Anyone interested can contact the town office. This area is the home to several white tail deer. BASEBALL/SOFTBALL: ![]() Ball is a huge part of the summer sporting events. There is minor ball for all age groups played on three new ball diamonds in the regional park. There is slo-pitch ball for the recreational ball enthusiast and for the serious ball player there is a senior baseball team. This team plays on the ball park at the fair grounds. BOWLING: Alley Oop bowling alley is a bundle of activity from October to May with everything from smurf bowling to senior bowling. CURLING: The Radville Curling Club is the proud owner of a four sheet curling rink. There is curling for every age group. There is a men's league, a ladies' league and a mixed league. The school age groups have school curling. DANCE: The Radville dance club meets every week teaching boys and girls the fine art of both individual and group dance. FISHING: ![]() Larsen's Dam and Long Creek supply the fishing enthusiast lively perch and northern pike fishing in both summer and winter. GOLF: There is a nine hole sand green golf course just minutes from downtown Radville. Everyone from the junior golfer to the most polished senior golfer will find the Robertdale golf course a challenge. We are also only a half an hour away from several eighteen-hole golf courses. HUNTING: Wildlife habitat abounds within the Radville region and sport hunters from throughout North America converge on the area during fall hunting seasons. Weather you are a self guided hunter or need a local guide, Radville has lots to offer hunting enthusiasts. Howard Carlson, leader of the Radville chapter of the Sask. Wildlife Federation runs a lottery each year to fund a pheasant release program in an effort to keep the local pheasant population strong. HOCKEY: ![]() Radville is proud to support a great minor hockey association. There is hockey for every age group. The Radville minor hockey is a member of the Southeast Minor Hockey Association. The hockey is played in the arena located in the regional park. For senior hockey there is an adult safe hockey team and also a shinny night where every one that is interested can join in the fun. Additional information is available through the Radville Laurier Regional Park. MARTIAL ARTS: The Black Cobra karate club meets every week and always welcomes new members. RODEO: The Long Creek Rodeo is held on father's day weekend. This is a three-day rodeo, which has something for everyone. With well trained rodeo stock and high caliber riders this rodeo is one of the best amateur rodeos in the country. This rodeo is a community-sponsored event and has supported several community fund raising activities (eg. fire truck, ambulance and regional park.) SWIMMING:
Hot summers are common in Radville and the swimming pool is buzz with activity. Swimming lessons are offered through fully accredited lifeguards. Additional information is available through the Radville Laurier Regional Park. SKATING: The regional park includes an arena, which is the home to all ice sports including a very active skating club. This club has a membership of forty plus skaters from all age groups. There is figure skating and power skating. For those who just wants to skate for the fun of it, there are free public skate times available. Additional information is available through the Radville Laurier Regional Park. TEAM ROPING: There are several team ropers in the area. Team roping is one of the events in the Long Creek Rodeo. There is a roping arena at the rodeo ground as well as several private arenas a short drive from town. 4H CLUB: There are two 4H Clubs around Radville. One is a fed calf club and the other is a horse club. The calf club is centered in Radville and the horse club is centered twenty kilometers north of Radville in Trossachs. |
